Laila Parvez

Since she was called to the bar in 2003, Laila has focused on Corporate and Commercial law, with an emphasis on commercial leasing, corporate finance, business structuring and employment law. She has helped businesses of all sizes including start-ups. Laila also regularly advises both landlords and tenants in the leasing of retail, industrial and commercial space.

Clients turn to Laila for her in-depth knowledge of the legal process as well as her commitment to achieving results. She approaches each client with respect and a determination to thoroughly understand their interests and objectives. Her goal is to treat each one the way she would like to be treated herself.

In her off-hours, Laila enjoys running, reading, spending time with her young daughter and traveling.

We have absolute trust in the wonderful team at Morrison Brown Sosnovitch for the wonderful way they have looked after our legal needs for over 8 years now. We are usually accommodated by Laila whose friendly and professional manner is a pleasure to work with and makes us confident that we have the best legal team in our corner. Thank you for the hard work you have done for us to keep our legal affairs in good order.
Larry Velman, CEO Kyozou Inc.
I refer clients to Laila Parvez for practical and timely legal advice. Laila’s common sense approach is much appreciated and results in a great return on legal fee investment.

It’s been a pleasure working with Laila over the past number of years. Laila has become an essential asset for our team; we rely on her for a number of ongoing items surrounding deal structures and contracts. Laila’s ability to make herself available and translate my simple jargon to legal terminology or reversely explain the legal jargon back simple English is brilliant. I can’t say enough great things about our working relationship and what a joy it is working with her.
Cheryl Lewis, President Cancable Inc
Laila is a dedicated, professional and, most importantly, knowledgeable lawyer that assisted our Canadian subsidiary in a commercial lease transaction. She was very pragmatic and commercial throughout the process and provided valuable legal advice. We would highly recommend her as legal counsel.
Alexander Rozenblyum, Senior Legal Counsel Nordic Aviation Capital A/S
I required a commercial contract on short notice and found the timeliness and expertise of Laila Parvez at Morrison Brown Sosnovitch LLP in preparing and negotiating the contract to be exceptional. She quickly grasped what I was trying to achieve and was able to protect my interests while balancing the needs of my client.
Mark Walden, CEO and Co-Founder Unwalleted
Laila Parvez expertly guided us through the successful management acquisition of our company.  She quickly grasped both the business and emotional aspects of the purchase and provided us with direction and support throughout the process.  Laila’s ability to help us understand the complexities of the acquisition’s legal components was invaluable. It is this excellence and professionalism that has made Morrison Brown Sosnovitch our go to firm and we will highly recommend them to our colleagues.
