A founding partner at Morrison Brown Sosnovitch LLP, Wes continues to lead the Corporate and Commercial practice of the firm. He advises owner-managers, entrepreneurs, executives, and non-profit service organizations and foundations. Wes has acted as lead legal adviser on many large and sophisticated M&A transactions, private equity deals and traditional financing transactions in excess of $100 million. He is equally adept at scaling this experience and expertise to the small and mid-sized business. Wes’ clients are active in the health care, automotive, finance, distribution, manufacturing and knowledge industries. Regardless of their circumstances or backgrounds, however, they all rely on Wes as a trusted adviser in their business, and also in relation to planning and legal issues for themselves and their families.

As a long-time adviser to men and women in business and their families, Wes has developed expertise in estate planning, business succession planning, and estates. With his problem-solving skills, experience and understanding of personal dynamics within families and businesses, Wes has a full-fledged wills and estate practice in which clients receive valuable and meaningful advice in addition to high caliber, tax effective wills, trusts and related documents.

For more than 30 years, clients have returned to Wes time and again for his experience, perspective, patience, empathy, and fairness. They sense his genuine interest in their hopes, goals, businesses and careers, and appreciate the useful and valuable advice and service which he provides.

Curious by nature, Wes loves learning new things and developing new skills. He enjoys gardening, self-directed investing, cooking, golfing, and fishing. A fitness devotee, Wes works out at the gym most days and also stays active through golfing. He admits that his goal of achieving a low golf handicap may never be achieved but, as in everything else, it will not be for lack of perseverance and effort.

Wes is fortunate enough to be married to a very supportive spouse, and together they have raised two grown children who are pursuing careers in medicine and engineering.
